The Director-General of the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC), Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, has conceded the nation has not gotten to its pinnacle yet, notwithstanding the expanding number of affirmed Coronavirus (COVID-19) cases in the nation.
Ihekweazu, while talking on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily on Friday, said Nigeria despite everything has “various weeks” to go.
He stated: “From our projection, we are not close to the pinnacle yet; we despite everything have various weeks to go.
“However, we are attempting to loosen up these weeks significantly further so we can push the pinnacle somewhat farther yet ensure that the pinnacle isn’t as steep as it would some way or another have been if no measures were set up,” Ihekweazu said.
There are as of now 981 affirmed cases in Nigeria, with the 1,000 imprint expected to be crossed by Saturday morning.
197 patients have been released, while 31 passings have been recorded.
