Gov Masari confirms nine new cases of Coronavirus as figure rises to 30 in state


The Katsina State Government has affirmed nine new instances of COVID-19 in the state.

Review that the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, on Saturday, declared that Nigeria recorded 87 new instances of Coronavirus.

NCDC had in its tweet said it recorded 33 in Lagos, 18 in Borno, 12 in Osun, 9 in Katsina, 4 in Kano, 4 in Ekiti, 3 in Edo, 3 in Bauchi and 1 in Imo State.

Affirming the figure, the State Governor, Aminu Bello Masari, on his Twitter handle, said the advancement was a pointer that the state needs to accomplish more in battling the pandemic.

Masari, in this manner, urged inhabitants to remain at home, including that the state has not released any COVID-19 patient.

“Having scaled the previous 48 hours without another #COVID19 case, the present report by @NCDCgov demonstrates that we have 9 new cases.

“This is for sure a pointer that we have to accomplish more in battling this pandemic; the Government, Public, Health Personnel/Educators and the Security offices.

“As of April 26, 2020, 30 affirmed, 0 released and 1 passing.

“With the network isolate still set up, we urge everybody to remain at home and stop the spread.”
