The 40-year-elderly person is currently accepting treatment at the Infectious Diseases Control Center (IDCC)
The Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Mohammed-Baloni, in an announcement on Saturday, revealed that four of the patients had kicked the bucket.
She said that two unfortunate casualties out of the eight affirmed cases on confirmation in medical clinics have been effectively treated.
The announcement clarified that eight out of the 74 presumed cases detailed from January 22, were affirmed to have Lassa fever.
“Out of the eight affirmed cases, the primary patient kicked the bucket because generally introduction, while the second and third cases have been relieved, confirmed negative and released home.
“The fourth and fifth cases were analyzed after they had passed on”, it read
The service said the 6th is accepting treatment at the IDCC, while the seventh, who went from Kebbi State, kicked the bucket at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital (ABUTH), Zaria.
The legislature asked the general population to guarantee that all instances of fevers are tried for intestinal sickness before treatment.
